The Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Regulation and Development of the Financial Market is utilising artificial intelligence technologies in its supervisory activities.

This was reported to Trend by the External Communications Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Regulation and Development of the Financial Market.

“The Agency is using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies in its supervisory activities to improve the accuracy of risk assessments for financial organisations, speed up the analytical cycle and automate data processing,” the Agency said.

The press office noted that in 2025, the Agency approved the “Digital Transformation Strategy for 2025–2027”, which sets out the priorities for digital development across key areas of activity. The strategy was a logical continuation of previously implemented initiatives and marked the transition from the introduction of individual digital solutions to systematic institutional transformation.

“As part of the Strategy’s implementation, the first version of the FinAI Unified Supervisory Platform was launched in 2025, featuring more than 20 supervisory tools, including 10 AI-powered services. The platform covers the full cycle of supervisory activities (from the registration of a financial organisation to its liquidation) and encompasses areas such as licensing, prudential and conduct supervision, and the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing,” the agency said.
