UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that Britain is preparing a new package of tough sanctions against Russia to increase economic pressure. The statement was made during a meeting of the “coalition of the willing” supporting Ukraine. Earlier, EU, US, and Ukrainian leaders discussed preparations for the upcoming Trump-Putin meeting in Alaska, warning that sanctions would be intensified if no ceasefire agreement is reached. Trump also warned of “very serious consequences” if the talks fail to deliver results.
