Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk to discuss trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between the two nations. During the meeting on November 12, 2025, President Japarov expressed satisfaction with the dynamic political engagement and congratulated Overchuk on the successful completion of the latest session of the Kyrgyz-Russian Intergovernmental Commission in Bishkek. Japarov highlighted that the two countries continue to collaborate closely within multilateral frameworks, including the EAEU, CIS, CSTO, and SCO. Deputy Prime Minister Overchuk reaffirmed that Kyrgyzstan is a strategic partner and ally for Russia in Central Asia, emphasizing that bilateral cooperation is rooted in mutual respect and trust, with trade turnover and cargo transportation continuing to grow.
