Following negotiations between the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan and representatives of China, memoranda of cooperation were signed with a number of leading Chinese logistics companies aimed at developing the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan-Afghanistan multimodal transport corridor.

Among the signatories are China COSCO Shipping Logistics Co., Ltd., Sinotrans Limited and China Railway International Multimodal Transport Co., Ltd. These companies will participate in the organisation of multimodal transport, customs clearance, the provision of digital services and the development of railway routes.
The signing of memorandums with leading Chinese logistics companies opens up new opportunities for the development of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan-Afghanistan transport corridor. Joint work will not only increase the efficiency of cargo transportation, but also attract investment in the development of modern logistics infrastructure.
‘The main areas of cooperation include the organisation of pilot shipments and regular flights, the development of multimodal logistics solutions, and the optimisation of transport schemes. Particular attention is paid to supporting projects to create logistics hubs and introduce digital services for tracking cargo,’ the source noted.
