Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon met with the leaders of parliamentary delegations from Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries who arrived in Dushanbe to participate in a session of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly on November 14, 2025. President Rahmon emphasized that the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly remains a vital platform for comprehensive and constructive dialogue among member states, covering key areas such as legislative harmonization, political and security matters, economic collaboration, and humanitarian engagement. He stressed the need to effectively leverage the significant opportunities in these fields for the benefit of the CIS peoples. Rahmon concluded by calling on CIS member parliaments to strengthen collaboration in all areas, highlighting the importance of joint efforts against contemporary threats like terrorism, extremism, religious radicalism,cyberattacks, and other forms of transnational crime.
