Representatives from Uzbekistan and Poland discussed the prospects of establishing a logistics hub in Poland for the supply of Uzbek products to the markets of the European Union and other countries. The talks took place as part of a business mission by the Uzbek delegation to Poland.

The meeting was attended by Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan; Amirsayid Azamkhodzhaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Poland; and Michał Kamiński, Deputy Marshal of the Polish Senate.

The parties discussed further steps to develop trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as to expand interaction between the business communities of the two countries.

Particular attention was paid to the initiative to establish a logistics centre in Poland, which will improve the efficiency of deliveries of Uzbek products to European markets. According to the participants in the talks, the implementation of the project will help to expand Uzbekistan’s export potential, speed up the distribution of goods and open up new export markets.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue practical work on the project, to intensify contacts between the business communities and to support the implementation of joint initiatives.
