Laziz Kudratov, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, met with a delegation from the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) led by Policy Director Carolyn Wick.
During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for expanding investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and the US, as well as opportunities to strengthen the strategic partnership with the DFC in the field of financing joint projects.
Particular attention was paid to the practical aspects of establishing a Joint Investment Platform. The meeting participants examined mechanisms for selecting promising initiatives and issues relating to the creation of an effective system for their further financing.
Projects in the fields of transport, healthcare and public infrastructure were identified as priority areas for cooperation involving DFC capital.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue deepening their investment cooperation, confirming their readiness to promote joint initiatives and carry out practical work on the implementation of the planned projects.
