Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, during his visit to Poland — the final stop of his European tour — stressed that China and Europe must stand together against arbitrary tariffs that violate international trade rules. He warned that yielding to unilateral pressure would only harm all parties in the long run. Wang highlighted China-Poland relations as a vital part of China-EU ties, emphasizing mutual respect and win-win cooperation. Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski echoed this view, stating that tariff wars undermine WTO rules and harm global supply chains. Poland reaffirmed its adherence to the “One China” policy and expressed readiness to expand cooperation with China, especially in areas like new energy vehicles. The two sides also discussed the Ukraine crisis, with Wang urging Poland to play a constructive role in reaching a political settlement. Wang’s tour of Austria, Slovenia, and Poland is seen as a key step in strengthening trust and expanding pragmatic cooperation between China and Europe.
