Chinese President Xi Jinping stated during a meeting with Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn that China is ready to strengthen strategic relations with Thailand to achieve even greater progress over the next 50 years. In the meeting, which took place on Friday, November 14, 2025, Xi called for strengthening strategic cooperation, noting a readiness to advance major projects such as railway construction, expand imports of agricultural products from Thailand, and develop cooperation in areas like AI, the digital economy, and the aerospace industry. King Vajiralongkorn, in turn, congratulated China on its significant socio-economic achievements and noted Thailand’s readiness to actively adopt the PRC’s experience in various fields. The King’s visit (November 14-19) signals China’s determination to deepen strategic economic and technological ties with a key partner in Southeast Asia.
