Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at a press conference with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels, said that territorial issues should only be discussed at a trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the US, and Russia. He stressed that Russia has failed to achieve significant gains in Donetsk and reminded that the Ukrainian Constitution prohibits giving up territory. Zelensky noted that Moscow shows no sign of being ready for such talks and emphasized that if Russia refuses a trilateral summit, new sanctions must be imposed.
