Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov stated that trade cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States has been steadily growing. Speaking at a Cabinet of Ministers session dedicated to the outcomes of President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Washington, Jabbarov noted that in 2024, bilateral trade reached $1.7 billion, marking a 94% increase compared to 2023. Of this amount, $1.6 billion came from U.S. imports, while $135 million accounted for Azerbaijani exports. The minister highlighted that 300 U.S.-capital companies operate in Azerbaijan across agriculture, industry, transport, construction, and trade sectors, adding that the recent meetings in Washington will further boost the countries’ economic cooperation.
