Ari Lightstone, Senior Adviser to the Council on Peace and US Special Envoy for Peace Missions, and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed the ‘Trump’s Roadmap for International Peace and Prosperity’ (TRIPP) initiative and cooperation within the framework of the Middle Corridor.
As reported by Trend on Thursday, citing Akorda, during the meeting in Astana, Tokayev noted the importance of Kazakhstan’s participation in the Peace Council and emphasised the country’s commitment to building fruitful cooperation within the organisation.
“As one of the co-founders of the Peace Council, we are convinced that this institution will effectively contribute to strengthening global peace and security,” said Tokayev.
During the meeting, Kazakhstan’s initiatives aimed at helping to stabilise the situation in the Gaza Strip were discussed, including participation in projects to rebuild social infrastructure, the implementation of initiatives in the fields of education and healthcare, and support for food security.
Kazakhstan’s interest in strengthening interregional connectivity and diversifying international transport routes was also highlighted.
For his part, Lightstone praised Kazakhstan’s active participation in the Peace Council and other international initiatives, including the decision to join the Abraham Accords.
