Kazakhstan is confidently strengthening its position on the global stage of digital transformation and innovation, becoming one of the leading digital economies in Central Asia.
This was stated by Dima Al-Yahya, Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organisation (DCO), in an exclusive interview with Trend. “According to the Digital Economy Navigator (DEN) 2025 report, developed by the DCO, Kazakhstan is demonstrating particularly strong results across several key areas necessary for building an inclusive and future-oriented digital economy,” she noted.
Al-Yahya explained that DEN is a comprehensive global system that assesses the maturity of the digital economy in 80 countries, which account for 85% of the world’s population and 94% of global GDP. The index is based on 145 indicators from internationally recognised data sources and global surveys. It ranks countries on a scale of 0 to 100 across three key dimensions: ‘Digital Enablers’, ‘Digital Business’ and ‘Digital Society’.
