The Zangezur Corridor offers Central Asia a new logistics route to Turkey via Caspian ports and the South Caucasus, ultimately providing direct access to European markets. According to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport, the country is actively developing new and upgraded land and multimodal corridors, including the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan railway projects. These will form East–West and South–West transport networks. The Zangezur Corridor, about 40–44 km long, is designed to directly link mainland Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan exclave through Armenia, enhancing trade efficiency and reliability in the region.
