On 25 April in Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with Masahiro Aso, an adviser to the Iizuka branch of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) and president of Aso Shoji, Trend reports.
According to the report, during the talks, the parties emphasised the sustainable development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan, noting that Japan remains one of the most important and reliable partners in the country’s international partnership network.
The meeting participants paid particular attention to expanding direct interaction with Japanese business circles and regional organisations. In their view, this creates additional opportunities for the implementation of joint initiatives, including in the field of youth entrepreneurship and the strengthening of business cooperation.
In addition, the prospects for launching new investment projects involving Aso Shoji were discussed, including establishing direct links with Uzbek enterprises, exploring opportunities for localising production in Uzbekistan, introducing modern technologies and implementing high value-added projects.
